Hi Sarah, I just wanted to write and let you know how wonderful the lug-a-bug is...I "discovered" your hip carrier at Babe store in the Fernwood neighborhood in Victoria and promptly bought one. I have back problems and all the baby carriers I have tried or been given work with putting the child's weight on the back/shoulders. Baby Ayden and I love strolling around town together now. We are leaving the slings, car seats, Baby Bjorns, etc at home!

I got the lug a bug today and I love it. Very easy to do and my son loves it! Thanks. I will bring it to all of my playgroups next week and show it off.

Hi Sarah, I was in our local baby gear mecca (aka Boomer and Echoes) here on the North Shore when I found your brilliant invention. I've been 'wearing' Elliott, now 21 months, since day 1, mostly with the sling. Friends swore by the Ergo carrier for their growing beans, but it really didn't work for us. I actually lost part of the chest strap for it and was at Boomers to buy a replacement - uggh - $10 to buy a replacement piece so I can get rid of something that doesn't work! Then, out of the corner of my eye I spied the most beautiful dragonfly fabric. Further investigation was required. Then Elliott was enticed away from his toys to give it a road test and voila, the $ I got for my craigslisted Ergo magically turned onto a beautiful and incredibly functional baby carrier. It was a good day in baby world!
It's been less than two weeks that we've used it here and there around town, and EVERY time we use it, someone comments on how pretty it is and how small it packs up. Having your contact info right on it helps tell others about its origin too. Now that he only needs intermittent carying, the bulk of the sling was taking up valuable space in our backpack or my purse, so this is the magic solution. We're headed back east in a couple of weeks, and I expect it will come in very handy in the airport/subway/bus. Thanks for creating such a great product!

Hi babyvibe mommas,
I've been a devoted reader since the beginning and thought I'd pass on a great carrier that I recently found but haven't seen any press for. The Lug-a-Bug is a lightweight, foldable squash-in-the-bottom-of-your-purse hip carrier. I was in need of something for those times when Elliott, now 22 months, wants 'up' but my hands or full of shopping, etc. We've used the sling since he was brand new, but the heat and humidity of Mexico were too much with all that fabric. I can carry my 27 lbs of joy very comfortably in the 'bug and if it turns out he walks the whole way on an outing, it's not taking up tons of room in my stroller or purse. I have been asked about it EVERY single time I've worn it, indicating to me that there is an interest out there. The fabric is very nice - silk with dragon flies - stylish, not babyish. It's recommended for 5 months+ and up to 35 pounds. It's made by a SAHM in Fort St. John. Another great example of a necessity being the mother of invention - and supporting local business. Locally, I found it at Boomers and Echoes for $59. The web site for momma Lug-a-Bug is http://www.lugabug.ca/ Check it out and let me know what you think! I hope to see a review online soon. Thanks for all the product and activity advice so far - we use it a lot!
Cheers,

Hi Sarah;
I LOVE this carrier! My daughter is so happy in it because she can see
what's going on around her or she can snuggle into mum when she needs
to. I bought a sling and 2 other carriers and yours is FAR superior to
all 3 of them and I love the padded shoulder strap...makes a huge
difference. They are stylish too!
Thanks so much,
Kelly G.
Hi Sarah,
I just wanted to say thanks for the carrier. I got it a few days ago and
I am loving it. I love the fuzzy material too! Thanks!
